This initiative is a collaboration between the Office for Diversity and Inclusion, the Department of Residential Life, and the Department of Student Activities.
This voluntary 60-minute activity is designed to help undergraduate students begin their journey of figuring out their place in the world during college by realizing that their own individual identity includes race and that this identity will influence their interactions with others who do not share their same background.
Each session will include no more than 8 students with 1 or 2 facilitators. Students are expected to complete Social Identity Activity – Homework before participating in order to maximize the time spent in discussion.
